Lawrence Mcfadden the makers of the Lawrence Mcfadden AKA Mastercraft gel stain line have closed.
I have called and called and their phones and web site are down. I finally got an answer from a company to whom their call are being for-warded . They indicated they had purchased Lawrence Mcfadden. They are a coatings com-pany in NJ and have plans to produce the Law-rence Mcfadden line of products. They expect to be in production in about a month. I know Law-rence Mcfadden made many products including a line of coating for the guitar and wood instru-ment industry. I do not know if any of the prod-ucts will be eliminated, so I can not be sure the gel stains will be put into or remain in produc-tion. I do have another line of gel stains and clears available from General finishes. This is just to give you a heads up on the availability of the product line as well as some options.

The Lawrence McFadden "wipe-on" wood stain gels on this page (shown on pine) are available for purchase from the Furniture Gallery.
These stains are easily wiped on with a cloth, foam or paint brush in half the time other finishing products require. All finishes are intermixable, as well, allowing you to match existing furniture as closely as possible.
We also offer Lawrence McFadden clear coat polyurethane gel. The clear coat finish is non-toxic and can be applied on household eating utensils.
